This existing cottage was very old, and when we tore it down, the ONLY thing we left was the fireplace and chimney. We had to stay within the original footpring. After being entirely rebuilt, this house is a get-away cottage on the same private lake in Wayne, Maine. Upon driving down the scenic driveway, the front elevation is very unpretentious, and looks quite small. The cottage has a real summer feel, being just feet from the water's edge, but is just as cozy in the winter. The 4-season porch overlooking the lake is a special place to be. There are two bedrooms and a full bath on the main floor. Up in the loft are two bedrooms and they share a half-bath.
