Shelby Residence
The Shelby Residence is a little piece of Tuscany transformed to Alabama. The 12,000 square foot Villa has a 4" limestone exterior. Each piece was designed by Pamela, then cut, fabricated or carved in Indiana, and shipped to the job site in Alabama. There are five covered terraces, with the entry terrace made of four Corinthian carved limestone columns and capitals. The four sets of French doors along the Front Elevation have a half-round transom, each with a different story carved in the limestone. All of the light fixtures, along with much of the furniture were purchased in Italian antique barns.
